Golden Sky Minerals Discovers Strong Copper-In-Soil Trends at Mowich Target

Golden Sky Minerals Corp. has announced significant findings at its Mowich Target within the Rayfield-Gjoll Project in southern British Columbia. The company’s spring 2026 soil sampling and geological mapping programs have identified strong copper-in-soil trends that are closely associated with intrusive rocks, providing important new targets for follow-up exploration.

The results from the 2026 program indicate multiple coherent copper-in-soil trends, with the strongest responses concentrated in the central portion of the survey area. These anomalies are spatially associated with mapped diorite, monzodiorite, and monzonite intrusive phases. Elevated copper-in-soil values, ranging from background levels of less than 50 parts per million (ppm) to over 521 ppm, have been observed in several areas. The highest assay recorded was 521 ppm Cu, which is particularly significant as it forms elongated and laterally continuous trends across multiple sampling lines.

The spatial relationship between the elevated copper-in-soil anomalies and the mapped intrusive rocks is particularly noteworthy. The strongest copper-in-soil anomalies occur around and along the margins of the intrusive bodies, highlighting the potential for mineralization at these contacts and associated structural zones. Rock sampling along the margin of a diorite intrusion has returned up to 2,216.1 ppm Cu, further supporting the geological framework for copper mineralization.

The emerging geological model is consistent with a porphyry copper-gold exploration environment, where multiple intrusive phases and structural corridors can provide pathways and favorable sites for hydrothermal alteration and mineralization. The central corridor, where elevated copper-in-soil values occur over a broad area, is of particular interest. Several of the highest soil assays occur immediately adjacent to or straddling interpreted contacts between intrusive phases and surrounding volcanic/sedimentary rocks, providing priority areas for detailed geological mapping, rock sampling, and geophysical follow-up.

Additionally, the project has been expanded by approximately 7,288 hectares along its southwestern portion, strategically covering interpreted prospective structures associated with historical copper-gold mineralization. This expansion extends the project's land position over geological trends considered prospective for additional mineralization.

The company's decision to expand the Rayfield-Gjoll land position by approximately 7,300 hectares reflects both geological and strategic considerations. The new claims extend coverage over interpreted structures that are believed to have played an important role in controlling hydrothermal activity and copper-gold mineralization.

The results from the 2026 program are part of a broader exploration effort at the Rayfield-Gjoll Project, which includes the Mowich Target and other areas of interest. The company continues to build a stronger geological model and develop a porphyry-style exploration model, with the goal of identifying and advancing high-potential mineralized zones.
