Golden Isles Development Authority Reports $70M in New Investments for 2026

The Golden Isles Development Authority (GIDA) has released its Year in Review for fiscal year 2026, showcasing a year of significant progress in attracting new investments, supporting local businesses, and enhancing workforce development across Brunswick and Glynn County.

During the fiscal year, GIDA facilitated $70 million in new capital investment, resulting in the creation of 91 new jobs. This was achieved through projects like Project Parrot and continued investment at Hillpointe. Additionally, the authority supported the expansion of five existing businesses: Troy Acoustics, Jered, Quaker City Plating, Brewer Technologies, and RSW.

GIDA also expanded its workforce outreach efforts, engaging approximately 6,000 educators, students, parents, and community members. The organization increased visits to its available-property web pages by 144% and digital engagement by 38%, helping to attract more businesses and site selectors to Glynn County.

Key infrastructure developments included the advancement of Mallard Industrial Park, which will provide new opportunities for industrial growth. The park saw the construction of a new industrial entrance serving the Georgia Breakbulk Logistics Park. GIDA also continued its partnerships with major local employers such as GP Cellulose, King and Prince Seafood, Gulfstream, Rich Products, and International Auto Processing.

According to Ryan Moore, President & CEO of GIDA, "This year we continued to support the businesses that call Glynn County home while attracting new investment and preparing sites for future opportunities. Combined with our ongoing workforce initiatives, these efforts are building a strong foundation for sustained economic growth."

The organization’s success was driven by a 38% increase in project opportunities originating through site selection consultants and brokers, indicating a strong commitment to national business recruitment. GIDA also focused on developing a broader workforce strategy to support local talent recruitment and retention, aiming to strengthen the region’s long-term economic growth.
