Golden Gloves of America, the storied amateur boxing organization that has produced more champions than any other in American boxing history, has partnered with PXL8 Technology Inc., a Miami-based technology firm, to modernize its digital presence and engage a broader audience. The partnership, effective immediately, will see PXL8 become the official technology and digital media partner of Golden Gloves, bringing a professional content engine and a national digital home to the organization.
Since 1923, Golden Gloves has been a cornerstone of American boxing, with its alumni including legendary figures such as Joe Louis, Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, and Mike Tyson. Today, more than 6,500 athletes compete each year across more than 30 regional franchises, with the ultimate goal of qualifying for the National Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions. Under the new partnership, PXL8 will integrate its technology and content production capabilities into Golden Gloves, enhancing the organization’s ability to connect with its athletes and fans.
PXL8’s HYPD app, a live event engagement platform for combat sports, will now serve as the primary digital hub for Golden Gloves events. Fans can follow regional and national tournaments, watch highlights from across the country, and support the boxers they believe in. Every boxer, from their first regional bout to the Tournament of Champions, will have a dedicated home in the app where their stories can be told and shared.
For Golden Gloves, the partnership brings a professional content engine and a national digital presence. PXL8 will work closely with the organization’s franchise network to produce editorial and documentary coverage of its athletes and events, operate the Golden Gloves channel on HYPD, and connect the organization with the younger, digitally native generation of boxers. The partnership also includes a financial commitment from PXL8 to support Golden Gloves’ operations and athlete development, with a particular focus on underserved athletes.
Philip Lilliefelth, President and Co-Founder of PXL8 Technology Inc., expressed his excitement about the partnership.
The partnership complements Golden Gloves’ existing broadcast, streaming, and ticketing partnerships, aiming to further elevate the organization’s profile and reach. With this new digital engagement platform, Golden Gloves is poised to engage a broader audience and continue its legacy of developing future champions in the sport of boxing.
