IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 1, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Taco Bell is teaming up with Duolingo to celebrate National Taco Day globally, officially declaring it Global Taco Day. The partnership, which will take place on October 6, aims to unite taco fans around the world by celebrating the universal language of "taco."

Duolingo, in collaboration with Taco Bell, has introduced an all-new Duo Habanero Sauce, a limited-edition product that pairs a bright, tangy flavor with a kick of fruity habanero heat. The Duo Habanero sauce is free with any Doritos Locos Tacos order in the U.S. and is available in participating restaurants globally, with a limit of one per qualifying item. Fans in select international markets can also score free Duo Habanero Sauce through local Global Taco Day offers, with availability varying by market and limited to supplies.

The Global Taco Day celebration kicks off with an all-new Duo Habanero Sauce, taco-fueled language lessons, and various Duolingo and Taco Bell assets. These include a Duolingo x Taco Bell restaurant takeover in New York City, where fans may see Duo in surprising places around the world. The event will feature appearances from Duo, giveaways, and taco-fueled lessons.

The Global Taco Day celebration also includes a one-day Taco Bell takeover in New York City, where fans can score a limited-edition Taco Bell x Duo plushie. Additionally, Duolingo x Taco Bell assets will be available at participating restaurants around the world, including in Mumbai, India, Toronto, Canada, and Shanghai, China.

The Global Taco Day celebration is part of Taco Bell's ongoing efforts to make the day bigger for taco fans everywhere. Taco Bell has a history of making more of National Taco Day, including turning one day into 30 days of tacos in 2022, helping to liberate "Taco Tuesday" in 2023, and moving National Taco Day to the first Tuesday in October in 2024.

For the love of taco fans, Taco Bell and Duolingo are uniting the world in celebration of the universal language of "taco" on October 6.
