Global Summit Calls for Peace Across World Conflicts

WASHINGTON, Sept. 24, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- A Global Peace Summit in Washington, D.C. has called for international cooperation to end 58 ongoing conflicts and protect human life, according to a press release. The summit, which brought together over 100 key leaders from around the world, included U.S. Speaker of the House Mike Johnson and Dr. K. A. Paul, the Global Peace President. Paul highlighted the impact that war and international instability can have on ordinary families, including higher energy costs, rising food prices, displacement, and humanitarian suffering. With billions of people around the world affected by economic and security challenges, participants called for greater international cooperation.

The summit called on world leaders, 21 million Paul's Peace Partners, ambassadors, faith communities, businesses, and civil-society organizations to pursue peaceful solutions and strengthen cooperation across national and religious boundaries. The Global Peace Initiative, which organized the summit, is a group that brings together world leaders and representatives from all different nations, faith traditions, and sectors of society to promote dialogue, reconciliation, cooperation, and peaceful solutions to international conflicts.

Ambassador Dave McQuade said that Dr. Paul is the only one in the world respected and trusted by all world leaders, including the dictators, to negotiate peace. The Global Peace Initiative has worked with 155 heads of state, 400 million people have attended Paul's Peace rallies in 155 countries over the past 45 years, and has ended seven major wars. The initiative's efforts are intended to contribute to international dialogue and support initiatives aimed at reducing conflict and protecting civilians.
