Global Heat Leads Free Workshops and Performance in Bellevue

BELLEVUE, Wash., Sep 10, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Global Artists Collective, a Seattle-based performing arts nonprofit, is set to present two free events this September in Bellevue’s BelRed Arts District, offering a vibrant mix of music and community engagement.
On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, the award-winning band Global Heat will lead an interactive workshop titled "RHYMES & BEATS: Playing with Words When Rhythm Counts" at Eastside Jams, an open mic night at BelRed Arts Studio. The workshop, which aims to explore the roots of contemporary hip-hop, will feature a session on lyric writing, improv, and freestyling. Attendees will have the opportunity to collaborate with band members by sharing their own rhymes. The event is free and open to all ages, with a first-come, first-served basis for those wishing to participate.
Global Heat will also headline the main stage at the BelRed Night Market on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 3:50 p.m. The band will perform a diverse set that includes Soul, R&B, Funk, and Jazz Hip-Hop, with an added twist of improvisation based on audience prompts. Attendees can expect a lively and engaging experience, as the band will draw on three random words, a feeling, or a scene provided by the crowd to create unique musical moments on the spot. The market, which continues until 10 p.m., will feature a variety of performances and vendors, including Nahui Ollin Tezcatlipocatl Dance, BelArts Ballet, Coffee Dance Studio, School of Rock Bellevue, Double Dutch Divas, M¡SSMANAGED, BNH Deluxe, Daughters Of Venus, The Black Tones, and Meldrop.
Both events are supported by a project grant from the City of Bellevue’s Arts & Culture program, which aims to increase access for underrepresented artists and bring diverse communities together through shared artistic experiences. The BelRed Arts District Community Alliance is also involved in the co-production of the events.
The events are open to the public, with no registration required for the main stage performance. Attendees are encouraged to explore the arts district and experience the diverse range of cultural offerings available.
