GOTHENBURG, Sweden, Oct. 21, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Getinge, a global provider of products and solutions for hospitals and life science institutions, reported strong financial performance and operational improvements for the third quarter of 2026. The company's sales increased organically by 2.1% to SEK 8,565 million, while the order intake rose by 2.6% organically to SEK 8,743 million. Mattias Perjos, President & CEO of Getinge, highlighted the company's growth in Acute Care Therapies, with a stable order intake in Surgical Workflows, particularly within operating room equipment.

The adjusted EBITA margin strengthened sharply, rising to 15.1%, positively impacted by tariff refunds of SEK 45 million and year-on-year currency effects of approximately SEK 36 million. Even excluding these factors, the margin improved by more than 1 percentage point to 14.3%, reflecting the sustained positive performance of the operations. The adjusted earnings per share amounted to SEK 3.10, up from SEK 2.42, and the free cash flow reached SEK 1,302 million, a significant increase from SEK 793 million in the same period last year.

Perjos attributed the improved profitability to a favorable mix, price discipline, and productivity improvements.

The quarter also saw the launch of Cardiohelp II, the company's next-generation ECLS therapy platform, in CE countries and Hong Kong. Customer feedback has been positive. Additionally, Getinge received 510(k) clearance for a new Edi catheter, which can be used together with their ventilators to support breathing for premature infants weighing as little as 500-1000 grams. This innovation underscores Getinge's commitment to providing solutions that can help increase productivity in healthcare.

In the latter part of the quarter, Getinge launched Torin Plan Optimizer, an AI-powered system designed to manage resources more efficiently and make surgical workflows more predictable during surgeries.

Perjos maintained the company's outlook for organic net sales growth of 3-5% for the full year 2026, supported by ongoing dialogue with customers. Getinge's greatest strength lies in the work its colleagues around the world do every day in close collaboration with their customers. The company employs approximately 12,000 people worldwide and sells its products in more than 135 countries.
