Genfit to showcase NIS platform at KOL event

On Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM Eastern Time, biopharmaceutical company GENFIT will host a virtual key opinion leader (KOL) event to highlight the clinical utility and long-term commercial potential of its proprietary NIS platform, a non-invasive diagnostic technology for Metabolic dysfunction-Associated SteatoHepatitis (MASH). The event will feature presentations by Professor Vlad Ratziu, MD, PhD, from Sorbonne University and Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital.
Professor Ratziu will discuss the clinical unmet need in MASH diagnostics and the benefits of GENFIT’s non-invasive testing technology, NIS4® and the new generation NIS2+®, during a time when treatment options for the condition are rapidly expanding. The technology is recognized by international expert consortia as a leading non-invasive solution, uniquely positioned to capture both disease activity and fibrotic burden. This helps identify at-risk MASH patients and supports more informed clinical decision-making.
The technology is included in both European and U.S. clinical guidelines, and recently, Labcorp’s NASHnext®, based on NIS4®, became eligible for reimbursement under the Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule for patients who meet coverage criteria, effective August 10, 2026. This development may support broader adoption and pave the way for future coverage by private insurers.
