SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 6, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- General Medicine, a nationwide healthcare store, has raised $120 million in Series B funding, bringing its total funding to $152 million. The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and included participation from Matrix, VXI Capital, Eli Lilly and Company, Mercy Health through Granger Management, and BoxGroup. This significant investment will enable the company to expand its product offerings and enhance its services.

Founded in 2023 and launched nationwide in May 2025, General Medicine has disrupted the traditional healthcare landscape by organizing care around what customers need rather than around medical specialties or institutional structures. The company now offers more than 2,900 products and services, including medications, labs, telehealth, specialist e-consults, and select in-person visits and procedures. Customers can search, compare, and purchase care directly, with the option to speak with a licensed clinician for recommendations or use the company's AI chat to explore their options.

General Medicine prides itself on its customer-centric approach. Since its launch, hundreds of thousands of customers have signed up across the country, with an NPS average of 80. Eighty-three percent of General Medicine customers say the company helped them address a health need they had been putting off, and a third had delayed care for more than six months. The average General Medicine customer's health record spans 11 years, presented to clinicians as a prioritized summary at the time of care.

The company's infrastructure reconciles how customers, clinicians, insurers, laboratories, and health systems may each describe the same service differently, making pricing, comparison, and clinical matching possible. Customers can find the right next step in whichever way works best for them: search, compare, and purchase care directly when they know what they need; talk with a licensed clinician, usually available the same day, for a recommendation; or use General Medicine's AI chat to explore symptoms or goals and understand their options. Their health history and context carry across each path, and a licensed clinician determines what is clinically appropriate whenever clinical review is required.

General Medicine's leadership team includes TJ Parker, who joined the company full-time as CEO in October 2026, a structure Muralidharan, the founding CEO, decided was right for the company as he moved into the Chief Product Officer role, where he continues to lead product, engineering, design, clinical, operations, and much of the business day to day. Elliot Cohen is the President of General Medicine.

"Consumers don't shop by specialty," said Ashwin Muralidharan, Chief Product Officer of General Medicine.

The company's funding will be used to expand its store into more categories of care, making it easier for customers to navigate their healthcare needs. General Medicine's mission is to simplify the healthcare experience, providing customers with the tools and information they need to make informed decisions about their health.
