Geiger Energy Finds Uranium at Apollo in Nunavut

Geiger Energy Corp. has announced a significant discovery at its Aberdeen Project in Nunavut, Canada, marking the company’s second grassroots uranium find in the region. The discovery, made at the Apollo target, follows closely on the heels of the company’s first hole uranium discovery at the Fox target, just two weeks earlier.
The first hole drilled at Apollo, designated APL26-001, intersected approximately 16 meters of elevated radioactivity in two zones: from 206 to 210 meters and from 216 to 228 meters. Additional elevated radioactivity was observed starting at approximately 68 meters. Rebecca Hunter, the President and CEO of Geiger Energy Corp., stated, "Two grassroots targets, two discoveries each with the first hole. That is not luck. It is the targeting model doing exactly what we said it would do."
Hunter further explained that the discovery at Apollo aligns with the company’s broader strategy in the Thelon Basin, which it views as the next generation of the Athabasca Basin. The Thelon Basin is noted for its shallow, wide-open nature and hosts similar mineralization styles to the Athabasca Basin.
The Apollo discovery is part of a larger trend that includes the Fox and Kiggavik deposits. All three targets sit on the Andrew Lake Fault, a structural corridor associated with Orano's Kiggavik-area deposits, which host approximately 133 million pounds of uranium resources. Hunter noted that the same structure, alteration, and mineralization style continue onto Geiger's ground, with the first two targets tested 10 kilometers apart delivering uranium discoveries.
The APL26-001 drill hole intersected two principal zones of elevated radioactivity, with readings exceeding 80 counts per second (cps) in these zones. The strongest radioactivity is hosted in intensely clay-altered, bleached, and hematized breccias, with disseminated and blebby uranium mineralization in the most strongly hematite-altered intervals. This alteration package is the signature of the district's shallow, basement-hosted uranium systems, similar to that encountered at Fox.
Geiger Energy Corp. plans to prioritize follow-up drilling at Apollo and Fox to define the scale of the new system across the 3.7-kilometer target. The company will continue to systematically test additional anomalies along the Andrew Lake Fault corridor through the remainder of the 2026 program.
The Aberdeen Project, which covers approximately 95,519 hectares, is adjacent to and along strike from a world-class uranium deposit held by Orano. With the targeting model now validated twice, Geiger Energy Corp. is optimistic about the potential for further discoveries in the region.
