Gamers and content creators across the nation are rallying to raise $125,000 for Starlight Children's Foundation's "Stream For Starlight" campaign, which kicks off this month to coincide with Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The fundraising effort, now in its eighth year, aims to bring Starlight programs to hundreds of hospitals, providing children battling cancer with moments of joy and distraction.

Adam Garone, CEO of Starlight Children's Foundation, emphasized the importance of the campaign: "Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is a time to honor kids and families affected by childhood cancer, and it reminds us of the value of comfort, happiness, and normalcy in a hospital setting. Stream For Starlight gives our vibrant community of creators the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of seriously ill children."

Since its inception in 2019, the Stream For Starlight campaign has seen more than 2,000 charity streamers raise over $3 million. In 2024 alone, the community raised $473,000 to fund the delivery of Starlight Gaming Stations to hospitals nationwide. This year, the campaign is set to build on this momentum with special events, tournaments, and community challenges throughout September.

The 2026 campaign is open to all content creators, encouraging them to use their channels to play games, create art, cook, or engage in any other passion that can bring happiness to seriously ill children. "Any type of content can become a force for good," says Garone. "Whether you're a professional gamer or a content creator with a following, there's a way to get involved and make a difference."

For those who can't stream, there are still opportunities to support the cause. Community members can donate to participating streamers or directly to Starlight Children's Foundation. The campaign invites everyone to sign up to fundraise, stream, or simply support the initiative.
