WASHINGTON, Sept. 09, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- FTI Consulting has bolstered its construction disputes capabilities in Latin America by appointing Luis Roman as a Senior Managing Director. With over 30 years of experience, Roman will leverage his extensive background in construction and project management to assist clients in resolving high-stakes claims.

Roman brings a wealth of expertise to the firm, having worked on projects in the power, energy, oil and gas, transportation, industrial, commercial, and residential sectors globally. His experience includes providing testimony and expert opinions in international arbitration forums such as the Permanent Court of Arbitration, the International Chamber of Commerce, and the American Arbitration Association.

The appointment comes as significant investment continues to flow into major capital projects across Latin America, particularly in the mining and energy sectors. Roman's addition to the firm's Forensic and Litigation Consulting segment is expected to aid clients in navigating the complexities of construction disputes, including schedule delays, cost overruns, productivity losses, and contract disputes.

Garrett Fultz, the Global Leader of the Construction, Projects & Assets practice at FTI Consulting, commented, "Large capital projects continue to face schedule, cost, and productivity pressures that can create complex disputes for owners, contractors, and other stakeholders. Luis’ experience across construction forensics, international arbitration, and major infrastructure and energy projects will help clients evaluate project issues with discipline and develop fact-based approaches to dispute resolution."

Roman has previously held senior positions at HECT Consulting and Navigant Consulting, where he spent more than 20 years in the Global Construction practice. He is a Certified Cost Professional and a Planning and Scheduling Professional. Roman has also received international recognition for his work, including inclusion in the Lexology Index Arbitration Expert Witnesses list and the Lexology Index Brazil report.

Commenting on his new role, Roman stated, "We are seeing significant investment in major capital projects across Latin America, particularly in the mining and energy sectors. With that investment comes increasingly complex projects and greater exposure to schedule delays, cost escalation, productivity challenges, and contractual disputes. I look forward to bringing my experience in the region to FTI Consulting and leveraging the firm’s global expertise to help clients navigate these challenges and develop clear, fact-based approaches when disputes arise."

FTI Consulting, Inc., a leading global expert firm for organizations facing crisis and transformation, continues to expand its services to meet the growing needs of its clients. With more than 8,100 employees across 32 countries and territories, the firm offers a range of services including forensic and litigation consulting, crisis management, and strategic communications.
