TEMPE, Ariz., Oct. 9, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Veteran Tickets Foundation (Vet Tix), a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is supporting the nationwide release of the new major motion picture, *JIMMY*, opening on November 6, 2026. The film, starring KJ Apa as Jimmy Stewart, tells the untold story of the beloved actor and Hollywood icon who set aside his career to serve, flying 20 combat missions over Europe with the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. Stewart continued to serve long after the war, rising to the rank of Brigadier General in the U.S. Air Force Reserve.
Vet Tix is proud to announce that service members, veterans, first responders, and their families can now receive free tickets to see *JIMMY* in theaters. The initiative is a result of the generosity of major donors, including iconic brands and corporations such as California Commerce Club, Citizen Watch America, Eight & Bob, Hanks for Our Troops, The Jimmy Stewart Museum, Justin Boots, Marcus & Mack, Montemoro, the National Football League (NFL), Papaian Studios, and White Castle.
Vet Tix, which has been providing free event tickets to currently serving military members, veterans of all eras, and the immediate family of those killed in action since 2008, has given more than 41 million free event tickets to over 2.8 million members. In 2018, Vet Tix launched 1st Tix, which provides the same benefit to our nation's first responders, including current and retired law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMTs, and 911 Dispatchers. It is free to join either organization.
Iconic brands and corporations have stepped forward to support the JIMMY Give Back campaign, in addition to public donations, to provide tickets to as many veterans as possible. Donations have been provided by California Commerce Club, Citizen Watch America, Eight & Bob, Hanks for Our Troops, The Jimmy Stewart Museum, Justin Boots, Marcus & Mack, Montemoro, the National Football League (NFL), Papaian Studios, and White Castle.
Vet Tix will continue to receive donations through the end of October, with an anticipated second release of tickets in November.
