This fall, residents, workers, and visitors of Washington, D.C., are invited to enjoy a variety of free, outdoor events in Farragut Square, hosted by the Golden Triangle Business Improvement District (BID). Starting on September 8, the district will feature evening fitness classes and weekly lunchtime entertainment through October 14.

On the evening of September 8, the first event kicks off with a special barre class by The Washington Ballet. From September 15 to October 13, fitness enthusiasts can participate in free yoga classes led by certified instructors from CorePower Yoga. These classes, held every Tuesday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., will take place in Farragut Square, located at the intersection of 17th and K Streets NW.

Each Wednesday from September 9 to October 14, from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m., the square will come alive with lunchtime entertainment and activities. Attendees can enjoy live music from artists such as Wytold & Tolk, Cariel Coates, and the Mark H Taiko Connection. Other activities include lawn games, a used book sale by Carpe Librum, and the opportunity to meet adoptable pets from the Brandywine Valley SPCA. A rain date of October 21 has been scheduled should the weather not cooperate.

Leona Agouridis, President and CEO of the Golden Triangle BID, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming events. "Fall is a beautiful time to experience Farragut Square, and our event lineup is designed to provide free entertainment, wellness activities, and opportunities to connect with others in the community," she said.

The Golden Triangle BID's fall events are part of a broader effort to enhance the neighborhood's appeal. Last year, the BID introduced new park amenities, including pink shade umbrellas and comfortable chairs, to improve the public space. These initiatives, alongside the returning event series, aim to showcase the neighborhood's potential as a vibrant, livable community and a global marketplace rich with engaging destinations.
