LOS ANGELES, Oct. 7, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Four iconic artifacts from Michael Jackson's legendary career are set to be auctioned on December 7 at Julien's Auctions' Michael Jackson: The Fashion Legacy Evening Auction in Abu Dhabi. The items, which include the "Thriller" music video jacket, the "Thriller" stage loafers, the Motown 25 glove, and the Moonwalk loafers, represent pivotal moments in music, dance, fashion, and global pop culture.

Leading the historic offering is the black and candy-red leather jacket worn by Jackson in the groundbreaking 1983 "Thriller" music video. One of just two jackets created for the production, this piece is the only one worn by Jackson during scenes in which he does not appear in zombie makeup. Designed by Deborah Nadoolman Landis, the jacket became one of the most recognizable garments in entertainment history and helped ignite a worldwide fashion phenomenon. Julien's Auctions expects the jacket to fetch a significant sum, though the exact amount is not disclosed.

Also up for auction are Jackson's black leather Florsheim loafers, which he wore during the filming and rehearsals for the "Thriller" music video. Accompanying the shoes is a signed letter to choreographer Michael Peters. The rhinestone-studded glove worn during Jackson's legendary Motown 25 performance is estimated to sell for between $600,000 and $800,000. This glove, which returned to auction for the first time since 2009, set a record-breaking price of $430,000 when it was last sold. The black Florsheim loafers worn during rehearsals for the performance in which Jackson introduced his Moonwalk to the world are estimated to sell for between $60,000 and $80,000.

The auction, which headlines Julien's inaugural Celebrity & Pop Culture Experience, will take place from December 7 to 9 at the Rosewood Abu Dhabi. In addition to the Michael Jackson auction, the event will feature other celebrity and pop culture auctions, exhibitions, and cultural programming.

The items were unveiled on October 7 at Julien's Auctions in Los Angeles before embarking on international previews in the United States, Japan, Bahrain, and Abu Dhabi.
