HANNOVER, Germany, Sept. 10, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Foton Motor, a leader in China’s commercial vehicle industry, is set to make a significant splash at the IAA Transportation 2026, the world’s largest commercial vehicle trade fair, scheduled to open next week in Hannover, Germany. The company, which has held the top spot in China’s commercial vehicle sector for 21 consecutive years, will showcase its largest lineup ever, featuring both new energy and self-developed core components.
Among the highlights of Foton's exhibition are seven new energy vehicles and six self-developed core components. The FOTON GALAXUS R9 PHEV, which has completed field tests in Spain, and the CAVAN C1, which has already been launched overseas, are joined by several other models. These include the CAVAN BEACON, a heavy truck capable of running on hydrogen and electricity, the eGALAXUS D3 (Sweeper) medium truck, the DAYSTAR light truck, the TUNLAND V9 PHEV pickup, and the eAURORA bus. Foton will also unveil its global 13 millionth vehicle delivery, the BEACON global launch, and outline its European strategy.
Foton’s presence in the global market is robust, with the company ranking first in China’s commercial vehicle exports for 15 consecutive years. Its products and services are available in over 140 countries and regions, with 32 localized factories spread across the globe. In 2025, Foton achieved a total export of 165,000 units, and from January to August 2026, the company surpassed 149,000 units, marking a 44.3% year-on-year increase.
Foton is notably a frontrunner in the new energy vehicle market, with multiple pure electric light trucks and vans achieving certification in the WVTA EU program. The Cavan new energy products are rapidly expanding into 15 European countries and high-potential markets such as Australia and New Zealand. The company has also established localized factories in Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East, along with 18 regional and national parts centers, forming a comprehensive closed loop from sales to maintenance to charging.
Under its overseas 3040 strategy, Foton aims to achieve annual overseas sales of 400,000 units by 2030, with new energy products accounting for 30%. This marks a new stage of systematic global expansion for the Chinese commercial vehicle manufacturer.
