The ForumAlert SMART Cabinet for AED is a battery-powered, wirelessly connected, and cloud-networked system designed to enhance the readiness and monitoring of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in large, multi-site deployments. According to the company, the SMART Cabinet AED extends its ForumAlert emergency-communications ecosystem into a smartly enclosed system that can accommodate third-party AED devices. This integration ensures always-on readiness and continuous reporting of status, location, and readiness to the cloud.

Each ForumAlert SMART Cabinet for AED runs on a battery engineered to last approximately three years between replacements, significantly reducing the maintenance burden that has historically made large AED deployments difficult to keep audit-ready. The company emphasizes that this long battery life, combined with real-time device status and site-wide monitoring, represents a meaningful advancement over stand-alone AED units common in the market today.

Forum Communications International has already deployed its ForumAlert and ConsortAlert platforms in over 500 large installations across 10 countries, serving more than 55 of the top 100 US Airports and 200 Air Force Bases. The company operates within 300+ sites in the United States and 20+ in Europe, highlighting its extensive experience in the field of emergency response systems.

The ForumAlert SMART Cabinet for AED is part of a broader strategy to integrate advanced IP End Points and provide low-latency emergency alerting alongside existing public-address and notification systems.
