Forge Resources Completes Underground Ramp at La Estrella Project

Forge Resources Corp. has made significant progress at its La Estrella coal project in Santander, Colombia, completing the underground ramp and starting the crosscut to the coal seams. The company is excited to report this major milestone, which marks the transition from ramp construction to direct advancement toward the coal seams.

The underground ramp has been completed to operational depth, and Forge Resources’ technical team has begun the junction and crosscut development. This development involves the installation of a perpendicular support arch at the junction axis, followed by the placement of a steel transition portal. The arch extensions will be anchored into this portal, securely tying the new heading into the existing structure before the crosscut begins advancing toward the coal seams.

Forge Resources has chosen to use a 12.4 m² TH29 support section for the initial advance of the crosscut, matching the profile used along the underground ramp. The crosscut will then transition to a lighter, faster 9.0 m² support section, which is expected to accelerate the advance rate for the remainder of the drive to the coal seams.

The crosscut is aimed directly at La Estrella's stacked sequence of known coal seams, which are critical for the project's future. Reaching these seams will mark a pivotal milestone in the project’s path toward extraction and cash flow, bringing Forge Resources closer to its core objectives.

International coal benchmarks continue to demonstrate sustained strength, with Newcastle FOB pricing remaining elevated relative to historical averages. This favorable commercial backdrop supports the project’s economics as it advances toward its first coal access. Additionally, Colombia's recent presidential transition has signaled early indications of a more supportive stance toward responsible resource development. Public statements from the incoming administration emphasize economic growth, energy reliability, and strengthening industrial sectors, which are all positively aligned with the advancement of coal projects.

Forge Resources Corp. holds an 80% interest in Aion Mining Corp., which is developing the fully permitted La Estrella coal project. The project contains eight known seams of metallurgical and thermal coal. Forge Resources also holds an option on the Alotta project, a prospective porphyry copper-gold-molybdenum project in the Yukon Territory of Canada.

Forge Resources Corp. remains committed to advancing the La Estrella project and looks forward to continued progress in the near future.
