ForFarmers Expands in Poland with Acquisition of STW SA

ForFarmers, a leading player in the European animal feed market, has expanded its operations in Poland by acquiring 100% of the shares in STW SA, an animal feed producer based in Sokołów Podlaski, eastern Poland. The acquisition, which is subject to approval by the Polish competition authority, is expected to be finalized at the beginning of 2027.

STW SA, founded in 2016 by the Leszczyński family, operates a modern feed production facility and is active in feed logistics and poultry farming. Recent investments have increased the company’s annual feed production capacity to approximately 270,000 tonnes. STW SA employs 76 people and has developed substantial expertise and technical know-how in feed formulation.

Paweł Świerkula, Managing Director of Tasomix, the Polish subsidiary of ForFarmers, stated, "This acquisition is a good addition to Tasomix’s activities in eastern Poland and creates scope for further growth. In addition, we will benefit from STW SA’s knowledge and experience and realize efficiency gains in production and logistics. This will enable us to serve our customers even better and further strengthen our position in the Polish market."

The transaction includes the feed business with its modern production facility, excluding the feed logistics and poultry farming of the Leszczyński family. Tasomix and the Leszczyński family intend to further strengthen their cooperation, particularly in the areas of logistics and the supply of feed to the poultry farms of the Leszczyński family.

ForFarmers, with its mission statement "For the Future of Farming," aims to make the agricultural sector more sustainable. The company has production operations in the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, and the United Kingdom, and exports to various countries within and outside Europe. ForFarmers employs around 3,000 people and is listed on Euronext Amsterdam.

The acquisition of STW SA is part of ForFarmers' strategy to strengthen its position in the Polish market, particularly in the poultry, ruminant, and swine sectors. The company has been operating in Poland for over 35 years and has been part of ForFarmers since 2018. The collaboration between ForFarmers and STW SA has already been ongoing for several years, with STW SA manufacturing for Tasomix.

This expansion into eastern Poland is expected to provide ForFarmers with a broader customer base and enhanced production capabilities, ultimately contributing to the company's growth and sustainability goals in the region.
