GOLDEN, Colo., Oct. 7, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- FOCUS, one of the largest Catholic outreach and missionary organizations in the country, has announced the appointment of Jonathan Reyes as its new chief executive officer, effective November 16. Reyes will lead the organization in its mission to help people encounter Jesus Christ and equip them to live as missionary disciples for the building up of the kingdom of God.

Reyes brings a wealth of experience to the role, having served for nearly 30 years in senior leadership positions. His background includes executive leadership in evangelization, charity, and Catholic higher education. Prior to his appointment, Reyes held the position of Vice President of Ministry and Formation and was a member of the Board at FOCUS. He also served as the Senior Vice President of Communications for the Knights of Columbus and held senior roles with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Denver. Additionally, Reyes co-founded and served as the first president of the Augustine Institute and founded the apostolate Christ in the City while working at Catholic Charities. He also taught history at Christendom College, where he served as Vice President for Academic Affairs. Reyes holds a Ph.D. in European history from the University of Notre Dame.

Reyes' appointment comes after a thorough and prayerful search by the FOCUS Board of Directors. The board conducted a national search since December 2025 and ultimately chose Reyes based on his long history with FOCUS, extensive experience leading Catholic organizations, and deep love for Jesus Christ and His Church. Reyes returns to FOCUS, where he previously served as Vice President of Ministry and Formation and as a member of the Board.

Curtis Martin, the founder of FOCUS, who launched the organization in 1998, continues to serve the mission as Founder and a board member.

Reyes and his wife, Stephanie, have been married for 31 years and have seven children. They will relocate to Colorado, where Reyes will begin his tenure as CEO at FOCUS' national headquarters.

Since 1998, FOCUS has been inviting people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. More than 1,000 active FOCUS missionaries across the U.S. partner with local dioceses to reach people at every stage of life and help form the next generation of Catholic leaders. FOCUS hosts the annual SEEK conference, one of the largest Catholic gatherings in the country, to inspire and challenge people to deepen their personal faith in God.
