Flex, a global manufacturing partner, has announced the appointment of Amy B. Schwetz as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of its Regulated Manufacturing Services (RMS) and Integrated Technology Services (ITS) segments, effective October 5, 2026. Schwetz is expected to take on the role of Flex CFO following the separation of its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment.
Schwetz brings extensive experience in finance and accounting, having previously served as CFO of Flowserve and as CFO of Peabody Energy for 14 years. She began her career at Ernst & Young and has held finance roles of increasing responsibility. Her appointment is seen as a strategic move to bolster Flex’s financial leadership as it prepares for the separation.
Following the separation, the composition of the boards of directors for both Flex and the new company, Axiom Solutions International Inc., has been announced. The Flex board will include four new directors: George R. Oliver and Brian Yoor, who will transition from the Flex board to the Axiom board, and Mark Eubanks and David Johnson, who will join the Flex board.
The Axiom board will consist of seven directors, including Revathi Advaithi, the CEO of Flex, who is expected to become the CEO of Axiom. Other directors include William D. Watkins, Michael E. Hurlston, Charles K. Stevens III, Maryrose Sylvester, and Mark Eubanks.
The separation is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2027, subject to customary conditions, including final approval by the Flex Board of Directors, the effectiveness of the Form 10 registration statement filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and Flex shareholder and Singapore High Court approval.
The new directors bring a wealth of experience in manufacturing, technology, financial, and public company leadership. Oliver, a former chair and CEO of Johnson Controls, and Yoor, a former CFO of Abbott Laboratories, will bring decades of global industrial leadership and deep manufacturing, operational, and strategic expertise to the Flex board. Eubanks, CEO of Brink's, and Johnson, CFO of Corteva, Inc., will bring extensive experience in financial leadership, operational discipline, and the electrical products industry to the Axiom board.
The separation is part of Flex’s strategy to enhance its strategic focus and financial flexibility. The company aims to create two independent, publicly traded companies, each with a clear and focused business strategy. Flex CEO Revathi Advaithi will lead the new Axiom, while Michael Hartung, current CCO of Flex, is expected to become the CEO of Flex.
The separation is expected to provide both companies with the opportunity to pursue their respective growth strategies and capitalize on their unique strengths. Flex and Axiom are expected to operate as independent publicly traded companies, each with its own board of directors and management team.
The planned separation is subject to the satisfaction of customary conditions, including the approval of the Flex Board of Directors, the effectiveness of the Form 10 registration statement, and the necessary shareholder and regulatory approvals. The companies are committed to ensuring a smooth transition to support the continued growth and success of both entities.
