First Uplifters Film Festival Set for Pacific Palisades

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA, UNITED STATES, October 7, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Uplifters Ranch Films, a company founded in 2024, is reviving the spirit of the historic Uplifters Club with the first annual Uplifters Film Festival. The event, set to take place from February 18 to February 24, 2027, in Rustic Canyon, Pacific Palisades, aims to contribute to the ongoing recovery of the community following the Palisades Fire that occurred two years ago.
The festival will feature approximately 10 full-length feature films in the "In Competition" section, showcasing the work of established filmmakers. Additionally, 10 films from up-and-coming and first-time filmmakers will be screened in the "Rising Voices" section. The event will also host special screenings of recent films, short films, and documentaries, providing a diverse array of content for attendees.
The festival will not only celebrate the cinematic arts but also pay homage to the historic Uplifters Club. It will host legacy screenings of classic films from original Uplifters members, including Michael Curtiz, L. Frank Baum, Clark Gable, and Will Rogers. These screenings will take place at various locations in Rustic Canyon and the surrounding neighborhoods, allowing residents and visitors to experience the rich history of the area.
In addition to the film screenings, the festival will feature Q&A sessions between filmmakers, authors, and industry insiders. These sessions will be open to members of the community, fostering a sense of connection and engagement. The festival will also host a screenwriting competition for un-produced feature and episodic scripts, providing a platform for emerging talent.
To aid in the recovery of the Pacific Palisades community, a portion of the sales from tickets and festival passes will be donated to Palisades businesses affected by the fire. The festival aims to create a new beloved tradition while celebrating the community, nature, and film.
