The Food Pantry, a crucial part of the Center’s services, has distributed more than 100,000 packages of food in 2025 and is on pace to distribute approximately 125,000 packages in 2026.
The Emma L. Bowen Center was founded by Emma L. Bowen, who fought for quality mental health care for her Harlem neighbors. Since its establishment, the Center has provided care for children, adults, and families across New York City. Bowen’s Food Pantry has been a vital part of the Center’s mission, distributing food to those in need. The gala will also highlight the Center’s commitment to addressing basic needs, including those of seniors, veterans, and LGBTQ+ New Yorkers.
The gala will take place from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. Additional sponsors, honorees, and special guests will be announced in the coming weeks. For sponsorships, digital advertisements, tickets, and contributions, visit legacyofcaregala.org.
