FinEx Metals completes Phase I drilling at Kero Gold Project

FinEx Metals Ltd., a gold, nickel, and platinum group elements (PGE) exploration company, has announced the completion of its Phase I drilling and sampling program at its 100%-owned Kero Gold Project in northern Finland. The program, which aimed to strengthen the company's position in one of Europe's most promising gold districts, involved a significant amount of core drilling and surface sampling.

According to Tero Kosonen, Chairman and CEO of FinEx Metals, "We are pleased to have successfully completed our Phase I program at Kero, which included 2,001 meters of diamond drilling and 694 bedrock and till samples. This work has enhanced our understanding of the project area and sets the stage for future exploration activities."

The Phase I program focused on two primary targets: Target A and Target C. At Target A, six drill holes totaling 1,114 meters were completed to follow up and expand on historical mineralization discovered by the Geological Survey of Finland (GTK). These holes were drilled using different azimuths to better define and test the zone at depth and along strike. Historical GTK data included a trenching result of 6.2 meters grading 7.5 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold, and a drill hole M372105R402 that returned 9.05 meters grading 1.95 g/t gold from 142.5 meters downhole, including 1.05 meters grading 12.6 g/t gold.

At Target C, located approximately 1,000 meters south of Target A, FinEx tested the area with four drill holes perpendicular to a prominent structural break identified from magnetic and electromagnetic geophysical data. All three drill holes (KER26D005, 006, and 007) encountered deeply weathered, sheared, and hydrothermally altered bedrock. Drill hole KER26D008 tested the same WSW-trending magnetic break from another angle, completing a total of 887 meters of diamond drilling on Target C.

Additionally, a shallow top-of-bedrock and bottom-of-till drilling program was carried out over areas considered prospective for orogenic gold. The program involved 694 samples collected at 30-meter intervals along 150-meter spaced sample lines. These samples were collected in pairs, with bedrock and till samples taken 0.5 to 1.0 meters above the bedrock. The deeper bedrock samples provided direct lithological information, while the shallower till samples offered broader geochemical anomalies in gold and associated pathfinder elements.

The Kero project is strategically located in the Central Lapland Greenstone Belt, between Agnico Eagle's Kittilä gold mine and the Ikkari deposit, two major gold systems in Europe's most important gold district. This district hosts some of the largest and most productive gold mines in the region.

Kosonen added, "This work has strengthened our footprint in this exciting gold district and positions us well for future programs. We are grateful for the outstanding work carried out by our Finnish field team and our service providers."

FinEx Metals will now focus on analyzing the samples collected during the Phase I program to better understand the geological and mineralogical characteristics of the Kero project area. The company expects to release further updates on the results of this work in the coming months.
