The engagement, known as an Integrated Safety Purchase Order (ISPO), is a critical milestone for FCL-X Fire & Safety Inc. as it expands its services to support the safety infrastructure needs of a major automotive manufacturer. The mandate involves construction support and Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) services, including risk assessment, fire protection engineering, and the implementation of safety protocols for battery-related environments. This engagement is particularly important as vehicle electrification and battery deployment continue to expand, highlighting the growing need for specialized safety solutions.

The need for specialized lithium-ion battery fire protection continues to grow as electric vehicles, battery energy storage, and other lithium battery-powered applications expand globally. According to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), there have been approximately 198,000 structure fires involving lithium-ion batteries in the United States since 2011, highlighting the scale of the emerging safety challenge.
