Fathom Nickel Discovers New Zones at Gochager Lake Deposit

Fathom Nickel Inc., a company exploring for nickel-copper-cobalt deposits in the Gochager Lake project area, has announced the discovery of new zones of mineralization, highlighting the potential for expanding the maiden Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) at the Gochager Lake Ni-Cu-Co Deposit.

According to the press release, drillhole GL26029 intersected semi-massive to massive pyrrhotite-pentlandite-chalcopyrite veins and breccias over a 21.44-meter length, approximately 75 meters outside the maiden MRE and 150 meters west of high-grade mineralization within the MRE. The mineralized intercept remains open to the southwest, suggesting potential for further expansion of the MRE.

Additionally, drillholes GL26028 and GL26030 intersected a new mineralized zone of semi-massive to massive sulphide veins and breccias at a depth of approximately 155 meters northeast of the maiden MRE. Drillhole GL26030 returned assay results up to 0.70% nickel and 0.65% copper, confirming the presence of nickel-copper-cobalt mineralization in this zone.

The Phase-2 program highlights clear potential to expand MRE mineralization along strike and at depth, reinforcing our decision to report these results following the maiden MRE announcement."

The company's exploration efforts have also identified a 1.99 g/t platinum assay result in GL26030, confirming the presence of platinum group element (PGE) mineralization within the Gochager Lake Ni-Cu-Co Deposit mineralization system.

Phase-2 drilling, which consisted of eight drillholes totaling 3,094 meters, tested off-hole conductive zones identified by borehole electromagnetic (BHEM) surveys during the Phase-1 drill program. The program also continued to test along strike of the Gochager Lake Ni-Cu-Co Deposit in mafic-ultramafic intrusive rock and in metasedimentary rock for additional zones of nickel-copper-cobalt mineralization.

The Gochager Lake Ni-Cu-Co Deposit, as defined by the maiden MRE open pit shell and block model, remains open for expansion both to the west-southwest towards drillholes GL26029 and down plunge to depth, below the MRE block model. Drillholes GL26028, GL26030, and GL26032 all intersected anomalous Gochager-like disseminated sulphide mineralization, supporting the expansion of the deposit to depth along strike and to depth.

The Company continues to integrate all data sets to better understand the deposit's geological setting, the new exploration targets, and the highly prospective eight-kilometer corridor hosting the Gochager Lake Ni-Cu-Co Deposit and new exploration targets. The exploration strategy is focused on identifying larger accumulations of semi-massive to massive sulphides within the multi-phased intrusive complex, with particular attention to the potential of metasedimentary rock hosting similar mineralization.
