ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich., Oct. 5, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- FANUC America, a global leader in industrial automation, is showcasing its advanced solutions for the fabrication industry at FABTECH 2026. The company will present a range of automated technologies, including welding and painting, in two dedicated booths.
At FANUC's Main Booth #S40006, visitors can explore a variety of robotic welding, plasma cutting, and laser processing solutions. The booth will feature easy-to-program collaborative welding applications, as well as advanced fabrication technologies. One notable demonstration will showcase the CRX-3iA collaborative robot, which is lightweight and portable, weighing only 11 kg. This robot can be mounted directly to structural steel using a magnetic base, making it suitable for applications such as shipbuilding and large structural fabrication.
Another highlight will be a coordinated-motion welding application, where a CRX-10iA/L cobot moves along a seventh-axis linear track. A lawn mower deck is rotated 180 degrees to perform seam-track welds on multiple sides, demonstrating the flexibility and precision of FANUC's collaborative robots.
FANUC will also present a Cell, Multiple Operations demonstration, where FANUC CRX-30iA and CRX-10iA collaborative robots automate assembly, welding, and post-process weld inspection in a single work cell. This showcases how manufacturers can streamline multiple fabrication steps into one operation, improving productivity and efficiency.
For those interested in bigger welding jobs, the FANUC M-950/500F-28A robot will be on display. This robot features a 500 kg payload and a 2,830 mm reach, working alongside two ARC Mate robots to simulate excavator bucket welding for heavy equipment and construction applications.
In FANUC's Paint Booth #S11008, attendees will witness advanced robotic painting demonstrations. The booth will feature the CRX-10iA/L Paint model, a collaborative robot with a 10 kg payload and a 1,418 mm reach. This robot uses Scan-to-Path and No Code programming capabilities to simplify automation for high-mix finishing applications, making it easier for manufacturers to handle frequent product changeovers.
FANUC will also debut the P-55/15-21A paint robot, designed to maintain consistent coating quality even when parts are continuously in motion. This robot uses integrated line tracking and a VersaBell 3 applicator to paint moving football helmets, demonstrating the flexibility of FANUC's painting solutions.
Across its exhibits, FANUC will showcase advanced automation technologies, including FANUC iRVision, coordinated motion, integrated force control, laser processing, collaborative robotics, Google Cloud, Gemini Enterprise, and the latest R-50iA and R-30iB Plus controller platforms. These technologies help manufacturers improve quality and increase flexibility across welding, fabrication, assembly, and finishing operations.
FABTECH 2026 provides a platform for FANUC to demonstrate how automation is expanding into applications that were once difficult to automate, from vertical-up welding on large structural steel components to collaborative welding systems that simplify deployment and operation. These innovations are designed to help fabricators improve productivity and quality while bringing automation to a broader range of welding and cutting applications.
