Falco Partners with Collectif Territoire for Lac Osisko Rehabilitation

ROUYN-NORANDA, Québec, Sept. 22, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Falco Resources Ltd. has entered into a three-year partnership with the Collectif Territoire, an organization dedicated to the rehabilitation of Lac Osisko and community mobilization efforts in Rouyn-Noranda. As part of this agreement, Falco will contribute $30,000 annually for three years, totaling $90,000. This partnership was announced during the "Les Noces d'eau" event, highlighting Falco's commitment to community engagement and environmental stewardship.

The partnership aligns with Falco's vision for the Horne 5 Project, which emphasizes co-creation, territorial innovation, environmental restoration, and citizen participation. Falco aims to build a lasting relationship with the Rouyn-Noranda community, encouraging residents to contribute to discussions and initiatives that benefit their local environment and quality of life.

The Horne 5 Project, which is currently in the advanced stages of environmental assessment, has been under preparatory work for over ten years. The Government of Québec's environmental assessment is expected to be completed in the fall of 2026. Since the publication of the BAPE report in January 2025, Falco has responded to several sets of questions from the Ministry of the Environment, the Fight against Climate Change, Wildlife and Parks (MELCCFP), particularly regarding the potential impacts of the project on community services, including health care, childcare, and education services, housing, emergency services, and the workforce. These issues have been the subject of in-depth analyses, as detailed in the Socioeconomic Assessment published last spring.

Falco has also conducted a thorough assessment of the potential impact of project-related vibrations on the safety and continuity of operations at the Rouyn-Noranda Radiation Oncology Centre. Independent experts confirmed that the mining operations and mitigation measures proposed by Falco can be carried out safely and in a manner compatible with the activities of the Centre, as reported in Falco's press release dated June 16, 2026.

The completion of the environmental assessment is expected to lead to a government decision regarding the issuance of the authorization decree for the Horne 5 Project. Obtaining this decree will mark a significant step for Falco, paving the way for the development phase of the project after obtaining all the required permits and ministerial authorizations. In the months following the decree, Falco will continue to carry out the necessary studies and investigations.

The updated feasibility study published on June 17, 2026, confirms the extensive benefits of the Horne 5 Project for Rouyn-Noranda and Abitibi-Témiscamingue. This project represents an initial planned investment of $1.75 billion, a mine life of at least 15 years, and the creation of 500 permanent jobs. Additionally, the project is expected to generate more than $4.4 billion in taxes and mining duties over the life of the mine.

Falco Resources Ltd., one of the largest holders of mineral claims in the province of Québec, holds rights to approximately 60,000 hectares of land in the Noranda Camp, including 13 former gold and base metal mine sites. The Horne 5 Project, located beneath the former Horne mine, which was operated by Noranda from 1927 to 1976 and produced 11.6 million ounces of gold and 2.5 billion pounds of copper, is a significant asset for the company. Osisko Gold Group Inc. is Falco's largest shareholder, with a 16.0% interest in the Corporation.
