Fairmont Schools Launches "Little Warriors" Workshop Series for Early Childhood Guidance

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif., Sept. 22, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Fairmont Schools San Juan Capistrano has launched a new series of workshops aimed at helping South Orange County parents navigate the challenges of early childhood development. The "Little Warriors: Play, Learn & Grow" series, led by experts from the school, will offer practical guidance on topics such as independence, confidence, and school readiness. The workshops are designed to provide a trusted platform for families to ask questions, learn from experts, and gain confidence in their parenting journey.
According to Rebecca Lugo, Head of School at Fairmont San Juan Capistrano, parents often feel overwhelmed as their children grow from infants into young children.
The series will cover a range of topics, including age-appropriate independence, routines, problem-solving, and confidence. Parents can expect sessions on language, motor, social-emotional, self-help, and school-readiness milestones. Additionally, the workshops will address practical strategies for dealing with separation, frustration, transitions, sharing, friendship challenges, and recovering from disappointment.
Engaging children's activities will be a key component of the series, offering a glimpse of Fairmont's joyful, hands-on approach to early learning. Activities will include bubble play, STEAM experiences, and tide pool adventures, among others. These activities are designed to help children discover what they can do and build their confidence.
Juanita Espinoza, Fairmont SJC Preschool Director, emphasized that children can accomplish much more than parents might expect when given encouragement and time to try.
The Little Warriors series reflects Fairmont SJC's approach to early learning, which emphasizes strong relationships, academic foundations, social-emotional development, independence, creativity, and hands-on discovery. The goal is not to make young children grow up faster, but to help them feel safe enough to explore, supported enough to take risks, and trusted enough to discover what they can do.
The workshops are open to families throughout South Orange County.
