WATERTOWN, Mass., Sept. 16, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- EyePoint, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing therapeutics for serious retinal diseases, has granted non-statutory stock options to a new employee as an inducement award. The company made this decision in accordance with NASDAQ Listing Rule 5635(c)(4), which allows for such grants to attract and retain talent.
On September 15, 2026, EyePoint granted stock options to purchase up to 3,000 shares of its common stock to a single new employee. The options were approved by the Compensation Committee and were granted outside the company’s 2023 Long-Term Incentive Plan. The exercise price for these options is set at $3.66 per share, which was the closing price of EyePoint’s common stock on the date of grant.
The stock options have a ten-year term and will vest over a four-year period. Twenty-five percent of the original number of shares will vest on the first anniversary of the employee’s date of grant, with the remaining shares vesting in equal monthly installments over the following three years. Vesting is contingent upon the employee’s continued service with EyePoint through the applicable vesting dates.
EyePoint, headquartered in Watertown, Massachusetts, is committed to improving the lives of patients with serious retinal diseases. The company’s lead product candidate, DURAVYU™, is an innovative sustained delivery treatment combining vorolanib, a selective and patent-protected tyrosine kinase inhibitor, in next-generation bioerodible Durasert E™ technology. DURAVYU is currently being evaluated in Phase 3 pivotal trials for wet age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD) and diabetic macular edema (DME).
Topline data for wet AMD was disclosed in August 2026 for the LUGANO trial, and further data from the LUCIA trial is expected in the fourth quarter of 2026. Topline data for DME is anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2027. EyePoint is also committed to partnering with the retinal community to improve patient lives while creating long-term value, with four approved drugs over three decades and tens of thousands of eyes treated with EyePoint innovation.
The company’s product, DURAVYU™, has been conditionally accepted by the FDA as the proprietary name for EYP-1901. However, it has not yet been approved by the FDA, and the timeline for potential approval remains uncertain.
