Exascale and Compal Partner to Develop Next-Gen GPU Platform

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 14, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Exascale Labs Holdings Inc and Compal Electronics Inc have entered into a strategic partnership to develop a cutting-edge data-center-grade platform for next-generation GPU systems. The platform, built on a native 800-volt direct current (VDC) architecture using solid-state transformer (SST) technology, aims to validate the performance of GPU computing systems in a fully integrated AI data center environment.

Under the agreement, Compal will provide the project site, GPU servers, and liquid cooling systems, while Exascale will design the modular data center system, SST-based power architecture, and related software systems. The project is designed to bring both companies' production-grade hardware into a shared testing environment, allowing for the engineering and validation of electrical, thermal, mechanical, and software interfaces before deployment.

The platform will combine Compal's GPU server platforms and liquid cooling systems with Exascale's Modular Data Center (MDC) and SST power architecture. This integration is expected to validate power, compute, cooling, and controls as an integrated system, addressing the industry's need to test 800 VDC at a data-center-grade level. The project aims to validate the operational availability of SST in a complete data center system, while also providing a test and validation environment for upstream and downstream ecosystem partners.

The platform is expected to validate the compatibility of native 800 VDC with GPU servers, conduct pre-shipment power-on testing, and provide a test environment for ecosystem partners. Additionally, the project aims to accumulate experience and data toward the development of standardized, data-center-grade native 800 VDC solutions and the attainment of industry certifications.

Following the completion of the platform and successful acceptance testing, Compal intends to acquire the portion of the platform developed and provided by Exascale, including the SST systems, power distribution equipment, modular data center facilities, and software use licenses. The definitive agreement will establish the final acquisition scope, purchase price, closing conditions, and other commercial terms.

This partnership is seen as a significant step in the development of next-generation AI infrastructure, addressing the industry's need for efficient power distribution and integrated system validation. The collaboration between Exascale and Compal is expected to drive innovation and set new standards in the AI infrastructure market.
