EVE Energy Launches Arctic Route for Faster Battery Shipments

NINGBO, China, Sept. 7, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- EVE Energy, one of China's leading battery manufacturers, has adopted a new shipping route to accelerate battery deliveries to Europe. The company's first shipment via the Northern Sea Route, also known as the Arctic Route, has significantly cut transit time for lithium batteries.
The shipment departed from Ningbo Zhoushan Port on August 15 aboard the MV Dubai Tower and is scheduled to arrive in Hamburg in about 20 days. This route has reduced the voyage time by nearly 50%, compared to traditional China-Europe maritime routes.
EVE Energy's batteries, manufactured at its production bases in Huizhou and Jingmen, were consolidated for ocean shipment. Upon arrival in Hamburg, the batteries will be distributed to major European markets, including Germany and Hungary, where the company has established local production facilities.
The China-Europe Arctic Express service is now running on an annual regular basis, covering major European trading ports. This strategic move underscores EVE Energy’s commitment to enhancing cross-border delivery capabilities to meet the increasing demand for lithium batteries in Europe.
According to the company, the Arctic route offers several advantages. Firstly, it significantly shortens the entire logistics cycle, reducing the time from production to market by nearly 50%. Secondly, by bypassing geopolitically volatile sea areas, the route effectively lowers the risk of shipping disruptions caused by regional frictions and conflicts, thereby improving the resilience of the company’s cross-border supply chain.
The Arctic route also ensures reliable product quality control. During the summer navigation window, the temperature ranges from -3°C to 10°C, providing a cool and consistent maritime environment that avoids heat-induced quality degradation of high-value, temperature-sensitive lithium batteries during long-distance ocean transportation.
Moreover, the shortened voyage cuts carbon emissions by around 50% per shipment, aligning with EVE Energy’s commitment to sustainability. This dual maritime logistics system, combining traditional routes and the Arctic corridor, supports the company’s expansion in the European market and strengthens its position in the global new energy sector.
