SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 17, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- EV Realty, a leader in the development and operation of high-power fleet charging hubs, has announced the acquisition of a strategically located industrial property in Ontario, California. The new site, situated at 2151 E. Philadelphia Street, will serve as the future home of an EV Realty Powered Properties® fleet charging hub.
The property, part of the West Coast’s largest and most concentrated warehousing submarket, offers excellent access to the east-west SR-60 and north-south I-15 freeways. Its proximity to the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, as well as the intermodal facilities in Los Angeles and San Bernardino, makes it an ideal location for freight and logistics operations. Additionally, the site is just three miles from Ontario International Airport, one of the top 10 cargo airports in the country, serving major air freight operations for companies like UPS and FedEx.
Construction is expected to commence in 2027. EV Realty CEO Patrick Sullivan emphasized the strategic importance of the site, stating, "Ontario sits at the convergence of the nation’s largest container gateway and the densest warehouse cluster in North America. This part of Southern California is among the most important freight hubs in the world and is the epicenter of truck electrification for this country."
The new site will add to EV Realty’s existing infrastructure, bringing the company's total simultaneous truck charging capacity to 27 MW between the ports and the Inland Empire. EV Realty has already secured 9 MW of simultaneous charging capacity from Southern California Edison, underscoring the value of the high-capacity site for fleet operators in the region.
This acquisition builds on several recent moves by EV Realty as the company continues to grow its Powered Properties® platform. In April 2026, the company opened a 9 MW truck charging depot in San Bernardino. EV Realty also plans to break ground on a new site closer to the ports in Torrance later this year. Additionally, the company recently announced that Henrik Holland, a former Prologis and Shell executive, has joined as President to expand the business to additional markets and verticals.
According to Sullivan, "When this site comes online, it will significantly increase operational flexibility for fleets as electrification scales. The grid in the surrounding area is severely constrained, making this high-capacity site particularly valuable for fleet operators that need power in the region."
EV Realty's focus on developing, owning, and operating multi-megawatt infrastructure projects in strategic locations to meet the needs of various end uses that depend on reliable, low-cost, scalable grid power is evident in its ongoing expansion. The company's efforts are aimed at addressing the growing demand for reliable charging solutions in the logistics and transportation sectors.
