Eutelsat Network Solutions and G&S SatCom have unveiled a new version of Eutelsat Network Solutions' Online Management Tool (OMT), designed to enhance control and agility in managing OneWeb low Earth orbit (LEO) connectivity services for government users. The updated OMT, powered by G&S SatConnect®, offers a more comprehensive and flexible approach to service management, enabling users to plan, provision, and rapidly adapt their services across the OneWeb constellation.

The new OMT provides a range of functionalities, including the ability to plan connectivity requirements and provision new services, establish and manage LEO service configurations, and control organizational roles and access. This tool is particularly beneficial for government users who need to respond quickly to changing operational and mission requirements. Authorized users can leverage the OMT to activate or adapt services as needed, ensuring seamless connectivity and operational efficiency.

Flexible role- and permission-based structures are a key feature of the OMT, ensuring that the right capabilities and information are available to the right users. This approach supports both commercial agreements and service needs, making the platform adaptable to various operational and commercial models. The OMT also offers a dashboard for viewing service, usage, statistical, and performance data, providing users with actionable insights to make better-informed connectivity decisions.

According to Ed Slater, Chief Commercial Officer of Eutelsat Network Solutions, the new OMT was developed in response to customer feedback.

The OMT's automation capabilities significantly reduce administrative overhead and accelerate the path to an operational service. David Schmitz, CEO of G&S SatCom, highlighted the importance of the new tool in the evolving landscape of government connectivity. "Government connectivity must evolve at the speed of changing mission requirements. Through G&S SatConnect®, the new OMT delivers a unified, single-pane-of-glass environment that gives users greater operational control over how LEO services are planned, provisioned, and adapted as requirements change," Schmitz said.

The enhanced OMT is designed to support the dynamic and mission-responsive nature of government connectivity needs. By providing a more intuitive and efficient way to manage LEO services, Eutelsat Network Solutions aims to empower government users to operate at speed and with greater agility. The tool is now available for government organizations to explore and implement, marking a significant step forward in the management of LEO connectivity services.
