COLUMBUS, Ohio, Oct. 15, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- Erebor Bank, N.A., the fastest-growing bank in America, has announced a significant nationwide initiative aimed at bringing financial resources to local institutions in urban and rural areas. The bank, which opened its doors in early 2026 and has already amassed over $8 billion in assets, is starting its nationwide effort in its home city of Columbus, Ohio, with a $20 million commitment to Adelphi Bank, a minority-owned bank also based in Columbus.

The initiative, led by Marcia Fudge, the former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and a long-time Cleveland congresswoman, is designed to partner with local financial institutions in areas where Erebor's customers, including key technology companies, operate. These companies are involved in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, robotics, artificial intelligence, and energy sectors, and are active across the country.

Erebor's commitment of $20 million is among the most significant ever made by a de novo bank during its first 12 months of operation, reflecting both the bank's dedication and the strength of its balance sheet. This investment is part of a broader strategy to ensure that community-based commercial ventures are sustainably funded, covering areas such as housing, employment training, and healthcare. These programs are crucial for broad-based economic growth and the expansion of the middle class in every community.

Adelphi Bank, founded in 2023 and headquartered in Columbus's King-Lincoln Bronzeville neighborhood, is Ohio's first Black-owned bank and has a mission to reduce the wealth gap by providing homeownership opportunities, entrepreneurial resources, and banking services to historically underserved communities in Central Ohio.

The initiative will focus on partnering with local financial institutions in the same jurisdictions where Erebor's customers operate, ensuring that significant community-based commercial ventures are sustainably funded. Erebor's goal is to model this relationship with Adelphi Bank and replicate it throughout the state and the country.
