ABDi CMS launched the community management category nearly 30 years ago, and has remained a fixture in the guardhouse, learning and adapting alongside the security directors, guards, and community managers who use it every shift. CMS Next builds on this accumulated operational knowledge, incorporating advanced features and a refreshed interface designed to enhance usability and efficiency for security directors and community managers.
According to Devon Watson, CEO of Envera Systems, the goal was to maintain the proven legacy of CMS while introducing a next-generation system that addresses modern needs.
CMS Next introduces new modules for tee-time management, short-term rentals, and vendor management, expanding the functionality of the original system. The platform also includes a redundant online and offline mode, ensuring the guardhouse can continue to operate even when the connection is lost. Familiar by design, CMS Next was built to feel like the system users already know, with the layout and key commands staying right where they are, now on a modern cloud platform with a completely refreshed interface, faster response times, and access from any device.
Envera Systems plans to support the existing ABDi CMS and Community+ platforms for the communities that currently rely on them. General release of CMS Next is targeted for Q1 2027, and Envera is working directly with current customers to plan upgrades that fit each community's operations and strategy.
