Encompass Health has opened a new inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Lower Providence, Pennsylvania, marking the company's 11th location in the state. The 54,000-square-foot facility, named Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Lower Providence, aims to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services to patients recovering from a range of conditions, including strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic issues.

The hospital is designed to offer a supportive environment for patients, with amenities such as private patient rooms, a spacious therapy gym equipped with advanced rehabilitation technologies, and a range of other facilities. These include an activities of daily living suite, an in-house dialysis suite, a therapy courtyard, a dining room, an in-house pharmacy, and dayroom areas. Patients will receive a minimum of three hours of intensive physical, occupational, and/or speech therapy each day, five days a week, along with frequent physician visits and 24-hour nursing care.

The interdisciplinary team at the hospital, comprising highly specialized nurses, therapists, and physicians, will work together to create customized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique recovery goals. This approach is intended to help patients regain functional ability, independence, and quality of life.
