Enablence Technologies Raises C$25 Million in Strategic Investment

Enablence Technologies Inc., a leading provider of planar lightwave circuit (PLC) optical chips for datacom, telecom, artificial intelligence (AI), and advanced vision applications, has secured a significant strategic investment. The company has closed a private placement with Collingwood Investments Incorporated, raising approximately C$25 million through the issuance of 3,226,000 common shares at a price of C$7.75 per share.
According to the press release, Enablence intends to use the net proceeds from this Offering for planned capital expenditures to expand capacity at its fabrication facilities in Silicon Valley and Vietnam. The funds will also be allocated to working capital to support growing sales volumes and for general corporate purposes. The company plans to deploy the capital to enhance its production capabilities and meet the increasing demand for its optical chips.
Concurrent with the closing of the Offering, Enablence entered into an investor rights agreement with Collingwood Investments Incorporated. This agreement provides the investor with pro rata pre-emptive rights on all future issuances of equity securities by the company and certain top-up rights. The common shares issued in this Offering are subject to a statutory hold period of four months and one day from the closing date, in accordance with applicable Canadian securities laws. The Offering remains subject to final acceptance of the TSX Venture Exchange.
