Emerita Resources Corp., a natural resource company focused on exploring mineral properties in Europe, has announced significant changes to its board of directors. Effective September 16, 2026, Oscar Cabrera and Peter McRae have been appointed to the board, bringing extensive experience in the mining and capital markets sectors.
Oscar Cabrera, with over 25 years of experience as an equity analyst covering the metals and mining industry, will join the board. His background includes fundamental commodity analysis, capital markets, and advisory work for public and private mining companies. Cabrera has also been involved in the review and advising of companies on primary and secondary offerings in Canada, the United States, and Europe. He currently serves as an independent director and Chair of DynaResource Inc. and previously held the same role at Sierra Metals Inc.
Peter McRae, who brings over 15 years of corporate, commercial, and legal experience, will also join the board. McRae previously served as Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary of U.S. Silver and Gold and was an attorney with Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP in New York, where he specialized in transactions for major corporations and private equity firms. He is a member of the New York and Ontario Bars and holds a certificate in Mining Law.

The board has also accepted the resignations of Catherine Stretch and Marilia Bento, effective the same date. Their resignations were tendered in accordance with the company's Majority Voting Policy following the results of the annual general and special meeting of shareholders held on August 25, 2026, and an internal organizational and governance review. Belan thanked Stretch and Bento for their service and contributions, particularly over the last six months as they navigated the company through a difficult period with dedication and professionalism.
