Berkeley, Calif., September 1, 2026 — Eluvio, a leading provider of video streaming and AI technologies, has been selected by Pacific Cooperation Broadcasting Limited (PCBL) to power Pasifika+, a new direct-to-consumer streaming service aimed at reaching Pacific Island communities and fans worldwide. The service, set to launch later this year, will extend the reach of Pasifika TV, which currently serves more than 30 free-to-air broadcasters across the Pacific.

Pasifika+ represents a significant step in the mission to connect the Pacific diaspora with their cultural roots and to provide a new, equitable revenue stream for local media creators. Natasha Meleisea, CEO of PCBL, emphasized the platform's unique purpose: "Pasifika+ is about connecting our diaspora with the unique stories, news, and entertainment that keep them connected to home. It also opens a new, equitable revenue stream for the 30+ broadcasters and local content creators who make our stories possible."

The new service will leverage Eluvio's Content Fabric, which offers a unified, zero-copy platform for live and on-demand content distribution, monetization, and AI video intelligence. This innovative platform will enable Pasifika+ to scale globally without the need for file duplication or reliance on legacy media clouds and CDNs. Michelle Munson, CEO and co-founder of Eluvio, expressed excitement about the partnership: "PCBL is a mission-driven organization, and we are honored to support them in their endeavor to distribute and monetize exceptional regional content globally for the first time."

Pasifika+ will feature a diverse array of content, including Pacific news, sports, documentaries, and original entertainment, all of which will be made available through a white-label browser, mobile, and connected TV application. The platform will also offer monetization through subscriptions, pay-per-view, and ad-supported models, while ensuring end-to-end content security and anti-piracy measures.

Eluvio's technology will also enhance Pasifika+'s content pipeline through the use of Inline AI services. These services will enable frame-accurate analysis, indexing, and search, as well as content composition and transformation, all without the need for file copies or re-transcoding. The AI capabilities will help Pasifika+ scale efficiently from day one, focusing on audience and creator needs.

During the IBC Show 2026 at RAI Amsterdam, Eluvio will showcase the capabilities of its Global Broadcast Fabric and AI technologies at Hall 8, Stand 8.MS5, and in the Future Tech Zone, Hall 14, Stand 14.A58, from September 11 to 14. Michelle Munson will also speak on the Future Tech Zone stage on Sunday, September 13, from 2 pm to 2:15 pm.

Eluvio's mission-driven approach and technological prowess align perfectly with PCBL's goals. "After evaluating several alternatives, we chose Eluvio because they offered the most cost-effective, easy-to-use, and technologically advanced platform," said Meleisea. "This partnership will allow us to focus on our audiences and creators, providing them with a platform that offers unparalleled efficiency and transparency."

The launch of Pasifika+ marks a significant milestone in the digital transformation of Pacific media, promising to strengthen cultural connections and support the economic empowerment of local content creators.
