Element One and Mantle8 Collaborate on Natural Hydrogen Exploration in Western Canada

Element One Hydrogen & Critical Minerals Corp. and Mantle8 SAS have entered into a letter of intent to explore natural hydrogen resources in Western Canada, specifically in British Columbia and Alberta. The collaboration aims to leverage Mantle8's advanced exploration technology and Element One's regional expertise to identify and rank potential natural hydrogen targets.

Under the terms of the letter of intent, the two companies will work together to deploy Mantle8's proprietary technology, including GeoLogix for geological modeling, HOREX for 4D imaging, and APoGeH for hydrogen system assessment. Element One will manage regional exploration activities, including permitting, field logistics, and stakeholder engagement, particularly with Indigenous communities and government agencies.

The partnership is expected to begin with a technical working group that will identify priority target regions and review geological data. The companies plan to evaluate land-acquisition opportunities and establish a framework for exploration, drilling, and potential development programs. The initial area of interest will be determined within 30 days of the letter of intent's execution, focusing on non-stimulated natural hydrogen plays.

The letter of intent provides a framework for continued discussions and does not include definitive terms such as project ownership, funding commitments, exploration expenditures, governance, earn-in terms, or commercialization rights. Both companies are committed to negotiating a definitive agreement that will outline these details.

Mantle8's technology and international experience in natural hydrogen exploration are expected to contribute significantly to the project. The company has already secured three natural hydrogen and helium exploration permits in Western Europe and is backed by investors in frontier science and clean energy, including Sandwater, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Bpifrance Green Ventures, IP Group, Wind Capital, and Calderion.
