Edison Awards Opens Nominations for 2027 Best New Product Awards

On September 1, 2026, the Edison Awards, a global leader in recognizing innovation, launched its 40th anniversary year by opening nominations for the 2027 Edison Best New Product Awards. This milestone year sees the organization inviting innovators from around the world to showcase their groundbreaking work.

"This anniversary year is a testament to the enduring impact of innovation," said Frank Bonafilia, CEO of the Edison Awards. "With the world facing unprecedented challenges, this is a chance to recognize the visionary solutions that are shaping our future."

Starting September 1, 2026, nominations are open until December 15, 2026, with winners to be revealed in March 2027. The awards span a wide array of categories, including Commercial Technology, Health, and Transportation, reflecting the diverse landscape of modern innovation.

"We're seeing extraordinary innovation emerging from every region of the globe," Bonafilia noted. "Our 40th anniversary is about celebrating this global community of innovators and the significant progress they've made."

Two new awards have been introduced to recognize the increasing global reach of innovation. The Global Excellence Award honors the best innovation across five regions: North America, Latin America, Europe, Middle East & Africa, and Asia-Pacific. The Innovation at Scale Award, which honors innovation from startups to global enterprises, acknowledges the significant impact of these solutions on a larger scale.

The 2027 award categories are expansive, covering areas such as Commercial Technology, Consumer Solutions, and Energy & Climate Resiliency. Eligible products must have been launched between January 2025 and January 2027, and will be judged on their concept, value, and impact.

The early bird submission period runs from September 1 to October 15, 2026, with the general submission period continuing until December 15, 2026. Nominations can be submitted online at www.edisonawards.com.
