FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Sept. 04, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- EdgeMode, Inc., the company developing scalable AI-ready data center campuses, has announced an extension of its current review process with BlackBerry AIF and BLACK AI Group. The review period, initially scheduled to conclude soon, will now be extended by up to six months, effective immediately.

According to a statement from EdgeMode, the extension is based on a mutual agreement among the parties involved. During this extended period, BLACK AI Group will continue its independent development of its AI infrastructure platform, which includes large-scale data center projects, strategic partnerships, and its financing strategy.

The company stated that the extension is driven by a shared vision for the opportunities within the AI infrastructure sector. EdgeMode and its partners will use this additional time to complete their strategic, corporate, and commercial reviews. EdgeMode will also undertake internal corporate, financial, and strategic work to support any potential future transaction.

The potential structures for any future transaction may include a merger, acquisition, investment, strategic partnership, or another form of economic participation. However, the company clarified that no specific transaction is guaranteed. Any potential transaction will remain subject to the satisfactory completion of the review process, applicable due diligence, corporate approvals, and definitive documentation.

"We are pleased to extend the review process," said Charlie Faulkner, CEO of EdgeMode. "This additional time will allow us to thoroughly assess the opportunities and ensure that any future transaction aligns with our strategic goals."

EdgeMode, based in strategic global markets, focuses on power-secured developments aimed at accelerating AI and high-performance compute demand. Its work is complemented by BlackBerry AIF, a premier investment vehicle specializing in next-generation data-center infrastructure for AI and hyperscale workloads.

Both parties remain optimistic about the future of their collaboration. Faulkner added, "The extension of our review process gives us the necessary time to explore various opportunities and ensure that any potential transaction is mutually beneficial."

Further updates on the status of the review process will be provided as appropriate.
