On September 4, 2026, the Earnhardt Auto Centers will celebrate the 75th anniversary of its founding, marking a significant milestone in the automotive retail industry. The celebration will take place at Earnhardt Ford in Chandler, where the dealership group began its journey.
To commemorate the occasion, a special surprise tribute will be unveiled at 7:51 p.m. on the same day. Jim Babe Earnhardt hinted at the event, urging everyone to "put your 'Eyes to the Skies' on Friday night." The exact nature of the tribute remains a mystery, but it promises to be a unique and unprecedented experience for all those in the vicinity of the dealership.
Hal Earnhardt III, a third-generation family member, highlighted the enduring legacy of the business. "In 75 years, we've transformed from a single Ford store to a network of 17 dealerships across 15 brands," he said. "Yet, we remain family-owned and deeply connected to the community."
The celebration extends beyond the dealership walls, with the Earnhardt family planning to engage the broader community. "It's rare for a private family-owned business to survive for three generations," Bull Earnhardt noted. "We're proud to carry on our commitment to the community, as well as our 'No Bull' approach to business."
Dodge Earnhardt, another family member, shared insights into the company's history and values. "My grandfather, Tex, became a public figure by riding a steer in TV commercials, but his true legacy lies in his dedication to 'No Bull' prices and neighborly service," he said. "We strive to honor that commitment every day."
The company's charitable efforts over the years have been significant, with the Earnhardt family donating to numerous organizations, including the Boys & Girls Club, Child Crisis Arizona, Ava's Treehouse at the Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children, Make-A-Wish Arizona, St. Mary's Food Bank, the 100 Club of Arizona, and the Arizona Humane Society.
