Dr. Cecilio P. Po of GPC Dental has been recognized as a 2026 NJ Top Dentist by NJ Top Dentists, a division of NJ Top Docs. The honor comes after the organization reviewed and approved Dr. Po based on merit.
Dr. Po's journey to dentistry is anything but ordinary. Before opening GPC Dental in 2011, he built a successful career in business at the NYU Stern School of Business. His expertise in strategy and innovation came from working with leading investment banks and technology consulting firms. After graduating with a degree in business from NYU, he pursued his true passion, helping people through dentistry. He then earned his dental degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers School of Dental Medicine) and completed his residency at Overlook Hospital in Summit, New Jersey.
At GPC Dental, Dr. Po focuses on more than just treating dental problems, he's committed to helping patients achieve lasting oral health. His philosophy centers on identifying and addressing the root cause of issues rather than offering temporary fixes. To support this approach, the practice incorporates modern dental technology designed to improve both efficiency and comfort. One example is air polishing, an advanced hygiene technique that removes stains and plaque while polishing teeth at the same time, making cleanings faster and more comfortable for patients.
Patients often comment on Dr. Po's gentle and precise approach to care, particularly when it comes to injections. Many say they barely feel them at all, helping ease the anxiety that often comes with dental treatment. He completed an intensive two-year Implantology program at NYU and is BIOCLEAR-certified, allowing him to offer conservative cosmetic treatments that can serve as alternatives to crowns. He also treats TMJ disorders using Botox therapy. Dr. Cecilio Po has completed the IV Sedation certification course at St. Joseph’s Medical Center. With this advanced training, he will soon begin offering sedation dentistry designed specifically for anxious or apprehensive patients, enhancing comfort and making dental care more accessible to all. Additionally, he is an active member of an elite Invisalign study group that includes many of the Top 1% Invisalign providers in the country, ensuring he remains at the forefront of clear aligner treatment and smile design.
Continuing his commitment to accessible, patient-centered care, Dr. Po is also expanding GPC Dental’s services through portable dentistry, providing care to patients in nursing homes, memory care communities, and through house calls for those who may have difficulty visiting a traditional dental office. Recognizing the growing number of patients seeking quality dental care without insurance, GPC Dental has also implemented a membership plan designed to make preventive and restorative treatment more affordable and accessible.
Through his #BrushAmerica initiative, GPC Dental has donated more than 2,200 toothbrushes to organizations such as Eva’s Village in Paterson and The Goodwill Rescue Mission in Newark, helping ensure that more individuals have access to basic oral care.
