AMSTERDAM, Oct. 1, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- DPW Amsterdam 2026, the world’s premier procurement and supply chain conference, has kicked off with a sold-out event at RAI Amsterdam. The three-day gathering, which runs from September 30 to October 1, has attracted over 2,200 attendees from 50 countries and 35 industries, marking a significant milestone for the event’s founder, Matthias Gutzmann.

Gutzmann, who launched DPW in 2019 with just 400 attendees, reflected on the event’s growth.

This year’s theme, RECODE, underscores the shift from experimentation to execution in the procurement sector. Keynotes and discussions are centered on how artificial intelligence (AI) can be harnessed to drive meaningful results. Speakers like Tiger Tyagarajan, former Genpact President and CEO, and Klaus Staubitzer, Siemens Chief Procurement Officer, are addressing the challenges and opportunities in AI-driven procurement.

The event features a packed schedule of sessions, including Center Stage, where procurement leaders and industry voices are tackling critical questions in the AI era. Topics range from AI investment decisions and scalable transformation to procurement’s role on the CFO agenda and the next generation of procurement talent.

A highlight of the event is the DPW Awards, which will recognize the startups, corporate teams, and individuals shaping the future of procurement and supply chain. The awards include the Early Stage and Growth Stage Awards, the Digital Innovation Award, and the inaugural Influencer of the Year award. Finalists were selected by an independent panel of CPOs, investors, analysts, founders, and industry experts.

The Expo Hall is bustling with over 150 solutions across 10 technology domains and 100 startups. Guided Tech Safaris, curated by experts, are taking small groups through the Expo Hall, providing immersive activations and live demonstrations. Attendees can also connect with relevant people through DPW’s matchmaking technology, designed to facilitate meaningful meetings and conversations.

Beyond the conference floor, eleven side events are bringing attendees together across Amsterdam. These include a padel open, a founders’ canal cruise, a bowling social, and a Michelin Guide dinner. The event kicked off with its iconic opening party at StrandZuid and will conclude with an after party, continuing the tradition of informal conversations and high-energy networking.

The scale of DPW Amsterdam 2026 reflects the procurement industry’s readiness to execute on its AI strategies. With over 500 global companies represented, the event is a testament to the industry’s transition from piloting to full-scale implementation.

The event’s success underscores the growing importance of procurement and supply chain innovation in today’s business landscape. As DPW continues to evolve, it remains at the forefront of driving meaningful change in the industry.
