TORONTO, Sept. 08, 2026 /CourierPR/ -- DPM Metals Inc. has announced significant progress in extending mineralization at the Dumitru Potok and Rakita North copper-gold-silver prospects, located on the Čoka Rakita exploration licence. The company has reported encouraging drill results that demonstrate potential for further growth in the mineral deposits.
The drilling program, which has been expanded to include an additional 12,000 to 15,000 meters, aims to expand the existing Dumitru Potok mineral resource estimate and test new targets across the Čoka Rakita exploration licence. This increase in drilling is part of an ambitious 2026 plan to better understand the geometry of the mineralization and assess the potential for greater tonnage than previously estimated.
Highlights of the drilling include: - Dumitru Potok Extension: Drilling has extended the marble-hosted intrusive skarn mineralization approximately 90 meters west and 100 meters southwest of the existing mineral resource. These findings indicate further expansion potential at shallow levels. - Targets Remain Open: The results suggest that mineralization is open in all directions, with the potential for growth along strike, laterally, and at depth. Priority extensions are planned to the west and southwest of the existing Dumitru Potok mineral resource, and to the north and east at Rakita North. - Increased Drilling Program: The 2026 drilling program has been expanded to approximately 32,000 to 35,000 meters. This increase is focused on expanding the existing Dumitru Potok mineral resource estimate, infill drilling, and target testing.
Selected drill intercepts include: - BIDD253: 246 meters grading 1.36% CuEq, with 33 meters grading 2.07% CuEq. - BIDD254: 30 meters grading 1.56% CuEq, and 29 meters grading 1.29% CuEq. - DPDD041: 84 meters grading 2.06% CuEq, and 51 meters grading 2.17% CuEq. - DPDD042: 50 meters grading 3.68% CuEq, including 21 meters grading 5.44% CuEq.
"These results extend mineralization 100 meters beyond the existing mineral resource and continue to demonstrate Dumitru Potok’s significant growth potential," said David Rae, President and Chief Executive Officer of DPM Metals.
The company is also proceeding with a preliminary economic assessment, targeted to be complete by the end of 2027, which will be based on an updated Dumitru Potok mineral resource estimate.
"The intensive exploration program at the Čoka Rakita licence is proceeding according to plan," Rae added. "Our strong local presence and commitment to rigorous safety and environmental standards form the foundation of our approach to value creation."
The drilling has confirmed the northwest-trending feeder structure at depth, separating iron oxide-hosted mineralization in the hanging wall from bornite-chalcopyrite-chalcocite carbonate replacement-style mineralization in the footwall. At the Rakita North prospect, drillhole RADDGTH009C intersected a continuous mineralized interval within a marble package, supporting the continuity of mineralization in the northeastern portion of the Rakita North mineral resource.
With these findings, DPM Metals Inc. remains optimistic about the district-scale discovery potential at the Rakita Camp. The company is now focused on refining the geological interpretation and understanding the full extent of the mineralization.
