DoiT Enhances Channel Management for AWS MSP Program Requirements

News related to:DoiT · 2 min read

DoiT, a provider of enterprise-grade FinOps and CloudOps solutions, has enhanced its Channel Management platform to support AWS's updated MSP Program Validation Checklist 8.0. This new version, set to replace the previous checklist on January 1, 2027, introduces more stringent requirements, particularly focusing on AI-driven delivery and cost optimization.

The updated checklist demands that Managed Service Provider (MSP) partners demonstrate their ability to deliver AI-driven outcomes for their customers, including detailed evidence of GenAI and agentic observability, token consumption, and inference cost per agent. Additionally, partners must show AI workload cost optimization and measurable AI-driven business outcomes. These stringent requirements reflect AWS's commitment to ensuring its partners can deliver advanced AI solutions effectively.

DoiT PartnerOps, the company's platform designed for cloud ecosystem partners, now includes Channel Management, a module specifically tailored to assist these partners. Ryan Pugatch, vice president of product management at DoiT, emphasized that the new AI controls present a significant challenge. "AWS is asking its partners tougher questions than it used to," Pugatch stated. "Managing cloud infrastructure to a professional standard was the bar for years; now the bar is demonstrating AI-driven delivery with customer-level evidence."

To help partners navigate this new landscape, DoiT PartnerOps offers a comprehensive suite of tools. Revenue Management, for instance, covers the billing controls required by the checklist, ensuring multi-tier billing accuracy, credit and pricing reconciliation, and per-customer cost reporting. Attribute, a real-time AI cost attribution technology, connects token, model, and GPU costs directly to individual customers, features, and agents using live runtime data. DoiT Cloud Intelligence™ supplies broader cost, anomaly, and optimization data, while PerfectScale and SELECT extend this work into the Kubernetes and data-cloud environments managed for customers.

Pugatch noted that the new requirements represent a significant shift in the MSP program. "Channel Management is designed to guide partners through the audit process and ensure compliance between cycles," he said. "DoiT's portfolio of products is crucial for partners to satisfy the controls themselves, including the AI controls that most cannot address with the current tooling."

DoiT PartnerOps supports partners at every stage, from first-time applicants to those renewing their MSP designation. The platform provides clear guidelines and tracking mechanisms to ensure partners are prepared for the new AI requirements. "Done right, the work gives partners more than a clean audit," Pugatch concluded. "It provides new revenue opportunities while solving real customer challenges."

With the January 1, 2027, deadline looming, DoiT's comprehensive suite of tools aims to equip existing and aspiring MSPs to meet the new proof-of-AI-delivery requirements set by AWS. The company's focus on supporting its partners through this transition underscores its commitment to helping them thrive in the evolving cloud ecosystem.
