Heng Ren Partners has also reached out to DiDi's largest shareholders, including SoftBank Group Corp. (TSE: 9984), which owns approximately 21.5% of DiDi's shares, Uber Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: UBER), a 12.8% shareholder, and Tencent Holdings Ltd. (HKEx: 0700), a 7.1% shareholder of DiDi, urging them to support the relisting in Hong Kong. The firm's campaign aims to bring DiDi's shares back to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, where they can benefit from better liquidity and visibility.
The survey results reflect a strong desire among DiDi's shareholders for improved corporate governance and enhanced communication. With a clear mandate from its investors, DiDi's board and management now face the challenge of implementing the necessary changes to meet the shareholders' expectations. The company's ability to address these issues could significantly impact its future prospects and the value of its shares.
