DCA Market Intelligence, an independent Price Reporting Agency active in physical agricultural and food commodity markets since 2005, has launched a redesigned platform aimed at providing more reliable and actionable insights to professionals in the industry. The company, which publishes more than 90 benchmark prices across its commodity coverage, has introduced a platform that connects independent benchmark prices with market analysis, production data, international trade flows, and analytical tools.
Tim Vrolijk, Managing Director of DCA Market Intelligence, explained that the new platform is designed to help professionals understand not only where markets are moving but also what is driving those movements.
The platform, which has been built around the principle that more data does not automatically create more transparency, connects benchmark prices directly with daily market analysis, historical information, production figures, international trade data, and analytical tools. This allows users to relate price movements to developments in supply, demand, production, and trade within one environment. For professionals in procurement, trading, sales, market analysis, contracting, and risk management, this provides a more complete view of the markets relevant to their business.
DCA Market Intelligence's independently audited framework includes 34 IOSCO-aligned benchmarks across cheeses, dairy liquids, milk powders, and milk fats. The company's new platform is designed to make market information easier to find, compare, and use. Users can create a personalized view of the commodity markets relevant to their organization and navigate directly between benchmarks, data, and analysis. The platform is available in multiple languages and has been developed for an international user base across the food and agricultural value chain.
The launch of the new platform provides the foundation for further development. New functionality, datasets, and analytical capabilities will continue to be added in response to market developments and user feedback.
In related news, WPC80 prices have gone up again, reaching new record prices. The DCA Market Intelligence benchmark for WPC80 has been established this week at €26,450 per tonne. The benchmark for WPI90 remains unchanged, but generally speaking, the entire market for high whey proteins continues to move upward.

In the first quarter of 2025, butane prices in Saudi Arabia reached 655 USD/MT in March. The pricing remained stable due to consistent domestic production and strong export activities. The country's refining capacity and access to natural gas feedstock supported price control, even as global energy markets saw fluctuations driven by seasonal demand and geopolitical developments impacting the Middle East.
In the United States, dolomite prices rose continuously in the last quarter, reaching 284 USD/MT in December. The increase was affected by constant demand from construction and steel sectors in association with high transport and energy costs. Additionally, logistic challenges and seasonal weather variations contributed to interruption in minor supply, leading to a strong pricing.
These developments highlight the dynamic nature of commodity markets and the importance of reliable benchmarking and analysis for professionals in the industry.
